What is Emotional Intelligence?

Emotional Intelligence is:

“the ability to understand the way people feel and react and to use this skill to make good judgments, protect their health and to avoid or solve problems” (Cambridge Dictionary)

Emotional Intelligence refers to how well we understand our own emotions and those of others, as well as why we think and act as we do.

By recognising, understanding and managing our own emotions, we become more likely to be able to do the same - and influence - the emotions and behaviours of others.

Exploring our emotions and their impacts (both positive and negative) helps us to improve our interpersonal and communication skills that can be used in a range of situations such as dealing with change, failure, challenging relationships, and everyday work and life pressures.

The result can be to improve everything from basic skills to personal stress management and leadership and decision-making skills in order to become a better, more emotionally healthy, successful, and well-rounded person.

Martin’s in-depth training, knowledge and experience of emotional intelligence allow him to analyse your emotional intelligent patterns to help you overcome a range of difficulties that you might have.
